FAQ
What does OEM
stand for?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. OEMs such as Apple, Canon,
Compaq, Epson, Hewlett Packard, and Lexmark are the companies that produce
your inkjet printer as well as the printer cartridge that is used in it.
We offer both OEM name brand and non-OEM name brand products. All
products have a “No Questions Asked Guarantee” 100%
What is a Compatible cartridge?
A Compatible Toner cartridge has been disassembled and its worn parts
replaced. It is then tested in the factory to guarantee print quality.
According to the Environmental Protections Agency (EPA) 4 years ago they
issued a new law, all toner cartridges that have over 50% new components
can be call a “NEW” compatible.
Will compatible toner cartridges void the OEMs
warranty on my printer?
NO! This is a common misperception by all printer owners. OEMs have
threatened in the past to void printer warranties when cartridges are
refilled (or non OEM cartridges are used). Legislation has since
prohibited OEMs from voiding warranties for this reason. For more
information, search the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement and the Sherman
& Clayton Antitrust Acts. It is a violation of the Sherman &
Clayton Antitrust Acts for a service technician or printer manufacturer to
require you to use any particular brand of supplies. An OEM cannot void
your printer’s warranty unless they can conclusively prove that other
brands of supplies damaged the machine.
What should I do if there are white streaks in my printouts?
Check if the cartridge is empty. If it is not, please shake the cartridge
up and reinstall.
What should I do if I get ink on my hands or
clothing?
IMMEDIATELY rinse the area with cold water, and then follow the
instructions below. For ink stains on your hands make sure to wash the
area with an abrasive soap. For stains on white fabrics wash the clothing
in cold water using chlorine bleach. Please make sure that you use cold
water as warm or hot water will set the stain in the fabric. For stains on
color fabrics hand wash the area with a sudsy mixture of ammonia and cold
water. Please make sure that you use cold water as warm or hot water will
set the stain in the fabric. *DO NOT mix ammonia and chlorine bleach as it
creates a toxic gas.
How are you able to offer such low prices on
toner and cartridges?
We sell 100% OEM compatible toner and cartridges, so you are not paying
for the brand name. We hope that you pass along the information to someone
else, as a satisfied customer is our best advertising.
Does using compatible cartridges, or toner void
my warranty?
Absolutely not! And considering your warranty is only 60 to 90 days, your
initial cartridge should last that long. Unknown to many people is that
some major manufactures have been remanufacturing their "new"
cartridges. If you look closely you may see something like "may be
made from recycled materials. Use of manufacturer name and part numbers
are for reference only and are property of their respective owner.
